Valeska Hageney was born and raised in Rome, Italy. She moved to Berlin in 1999, where she studied Italian Philology, Modern History and Art History at the Freie University Berlin.
Until 2011 she worked for several Berlin galleries, and is now the Managing Director of a Berlin Collection. In the summer of 2011 Valeska foundet the project space REH Kunst, which she now leads together with Marie Arleth Skov.
Moreover, Valeska has begun to write catalog essays for artists as well as free text:
